Rickie Fowler 33/1
Rickie has had a good start to 2013 with two T6 finishes at The Farmers and The Hyundai. He’s actually off to a better start in 2013 than 2012 when he started playing well in the summer. His comeback attempt last week at the WGC Match play in Arizona last week was only a hint of what’s to come for Rickie. He finished 7th here last year and is generously priced given his form. Certainly one to keep your eye on.
Charl Schwartzel 12/1
Schwartzel was knocked out early by Russell Henley in the first round of the Match Play, but this week is a different story as its a stroke play event. He had a tie for fifth here last year and will be ready for this as he’s rested after his early exit. Prior to match play, he finished in the top 5 in his previous seven events around the world. No wonder he’s a short 12/1
Greame McDowell 28/1
G-Mac is coming off a strong showing at Match Play where he made a lot of great birdies getting to the quarterfinals before falling to third-place finisher Jason Day. He’s finished top-10 in his last two starts at PGA National with a T6 in 2011 and T9 last year he looks like a generously priced man to watch at PGA National.
Freddie Jacobson 28/1
In his last 3 starts Freddie has recorded a T-7, T-3 and a T-9 last week at the WGC-Match Play Championship by reaching Round 16. He has also had 3 top 10’s in this event before and could make it a 4th here this week.
Keegan Bradley 35/1
Keegan had a shot to win The Honda Classic last year but had a disappointing final round of 73. Tied for 12th a year ago and had top-25 finishes in his past two stroke-play events before a first-round loss at the Match Play. He likes par 70 courses and the first round defeat will make him push that little bit more.
All of the above players are backed each way. Prices are taken from Bet365 at 12.30 wednesday the 27th of Febuary.
See you next week and good luck.
